A glamorous arrival. A fictional mystery. An evening of clues and conversation.
A good mystery creates curiosity without making guests feel lost. For a Hollywood murder mystery in St. Louis, discuss the balance between story, conversation and food service before adding production extras. A premiere-style entrance sets the scene, while a clear explanation of the fictional game helps everyone understand how to join in at a comfortable level.
Discuss the story format, recommended group size, participation expectations and hosting arrangements in the quote. Do not assume every guest needs a costume or an assigned character; those details depend on the agreed experience. A clear introduction, audible dialogue and sensible pacing matter more than elaborate props. If the event includes dinner, coordinate when information or clues are shared so service does not interrupt important moments. Confirm the approximate duration, any preparation guests need and the level of fictional suspense. Let us know about accessibility needs or content sensitivities early so suitability can be considered before booking.
Use the red-carpet arrival for photographs before the fictional story begins, then leave a natural break after the reveal for conversation or music. Share any speeches, awards or other activities that need room in the schedule. A mystery should not depend on guests hearing vital information from across a noisy reception; discuss sound, seating and a suitable performance area with the venue.
The right production plan starts with the room. In St. Louis, historic ballrooms, hotel event spaces, country clubs can have very different arrival routes, setup windows and sound policies. If guests are traveling from Kirkwood or St. Charles, include practical arrival directions with the invitation. Ask the venue about available power, delivery access, approved suppliers and where equipment can wait before installation. Keep photo queues away from service doors and emergency exits. An outdoor idea also needs a workable weather alternative, not just a hopeful forecast. Confirm loading access, safe guest routes and any indoor alternative with your venue before finalizing the setup.
You do not need every detail settled before making an inquiry. A date, estimated attendance and a likely venue are enough to begin a useful conversation. Tell us what you have already arranged and what you want the production to achieve. Review the package options if you are considering a fuller evening, or describe the standalone support you need in the quote form below. Include setup restrictions and any deadlines for artwork or guest instructions. We aim to send a custom quote within 24 hours. Your proposal, not the inquiry itself, confirms the available services, final costs and next booking steps.

Planning questions
Murder on Set is a fictional, Hollywood-themed entertainment concept. The exact story format, audience suitability, hosting and participation arrangements are confirmed in your proposal rather than assumed from the theme name alone.
Not necessarily. Participation and costume expectations depend on the agreed format. Tell us how comfortable your group is with roleplay so the options can be discussed before invitations are written.
It can be planned around your event schedule, subject to the chosen format. Share meal-service timings, room layout and any speeches so story moments are not lost during service or competing activities.
Tell us about your venue in St. Louis, Kirkwood or St. Charles. Share the date, access arrangements and approximate guest count so we can confirm availability and any travel or setup requirements. A nearby location is not assumed to have the same logistics as a city-center venue.
